Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has commenced the process of informing individuals affected by the 2023 Midnight Blizzard cyber-attack. Reports indicate that around twelve people have already received breach notification letters. The attack, attributed to Russian state-sponsored threat actors, targeted HPE’s IT systems last year, compromising data from employee email accounts. The scope of the breach remains unclear, but it is known that sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license details, and credit card information were exposed. Despite this incident, HPE reassures that the attack is unlikely to have a significant impact on its operations or financial standing.
