iBasso Audio has unveiled the iBasso Nunchaku, a portable USB-C DAC with dual amp modes that includes a tube amp option and features a built-in OLED display. This compact USB-powered DAC boasts premium materials like aluminum and tempered glass, along with detailed features such as support for high-res PCM and DSD51 music streams. The device also offers adjustable filters for sound customization, balanced and headphone connections, and dual Raytheon JAN6118 tubes. Despite the risk of ‘microphonic’ effects, the Nunchaku aims to deliver superior audio quality, all for a reasonable price of $299.
