OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, has unveiled plans for ChatGPT to integrate all GPT models, including the upcoming GPT-5, eliminating the need for users to select models manually. This move aims to simplify the user experience by allowing ChatGPT to automatically determine the best model based on prompts. Altman emphasized the goal of unifying different AI models to create a seamless and efficient system. GPT-4.5 will be the final standalone model before the integration of all models into a unified system. Additionally, Altman outlined that GPT-5 will incorporate various technologies, including o3, with subscribers gaining access to different levels of intelligence based on their subscription tier. While no specific release dates were confirmed, Altman hinted at imminent launches, suggesting exciting developments on the horizon for ChatGPT users.
