Garmin has unveiled the latest addition to its lineup of outdoor smartwatches with the launch of the Garmin Instinct 3. The new Instinct 3 boasts a more rugged design, featuring a metal-reinforced bezel, a built-in flashlight, and a fiber-reinforced polymer case. The standout feature of this model is its AMOLED display, offering up to 24 days of battery life on a single charge for the AMOLED model and unlimited battery life on the solar model.
With a MIL-STD 810 toughness rating and water resistance up to 100 meters, the Garmin Instinct 3 is designed to withstand the most challenging outdoor conditions. Available in two sizes, 45mm and 50mm, the Instinct 3 also introduces a smaller 40mm size in the Instinct E version, with new color options including Neotropic, Black, and Electric Lime.
In terms of functionality, the Instinct 3 offers advanced health monitoring features like heart rate tracking, sleep monitoring, wrist-based Pulse Ox, heart rate variability status, and Garmin Pay contactless payments. It also supports various activity apps, catering to fitness enthusiasts with options for activities such as HIIT and cardio.
Pricing for the Garmin Instinct 3 starts at $299 for the Instinct E, $449 for the AMOLED model available in 45mm, and $499 for the 50mm version. The solar model of the Instinct 3 is priced at $399 or $449 for the 50mm variant. The new smartwatch will be open for orders starting from January 10, with more updates to come.
