Some Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra screen coatings are wearing out – and it’s not a good look

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is facing screen issues as users report degraded display coatings. While not all handsets are affected, some are experiencing premature wearing off of the coating, leading to smudges and scratches on the screen. Samsung is yet to comment on the problem. The oleophobic coating on the phone is meant to protect the screen and reduce fingerprint smudging, but its early degradation is causing concerns. Users are advised to contact Samsung directly with any problems. With the upcoming launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, clarity on such coatings and their longevity is awaited from Samsung and other manufacturers.
