Viewsonic is gearing up to introduce its latest cutting-edge monitor, the VP2788-5K, at the highly anticipated Pepcom Digital Experience event in January 2025. With a compact 27-inch screen, this device sets a new standard by being the smallest 5K resolution monitor on the market. Alongside this innovative product, ViewSonic will also be launching other impressive displays including the VG2748N, featuring wireless casting capabilities, and the XG275D-4K gaming monitor with switchable refresh rates for gamers.
The VP2788-5K boasts a 99% DCI-P3 color gamut and a range of connectivity options such as Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB-C and A, and DisplayPort. Anticipated for release in the first quarter of 2025, the monitor may hit the shelves by the end of March, although the pricing details have not been disclosed yet. Despite the excitement surrounding this new product line, there is some skepticism due to ViewSonic’s history with their previous 8K monitor which never made it to the market.
In a statement, Jeff Muto, ViewSonic’s Business Line Director, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for their upcoming range of products and highlighted their commitment to providing consumers with an expanded array of display solutions tailored to different work and leisure needs. Stay tuned for more updates as Viewsonic continues to innovate and shape the future of display technology.
