Apple is reportedly gearing up to release new versions of the Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air and possibly the entry-level iPad. The updated Magic Keyboard is anticipated to bring features from the high-end iPad Pro version, such as a thinner and lighter design, function and media keys, a glass trackpad with haptic feedback, and an aluminum palm rest.

Tech analyst Mark Gurman from Bloomberg anticipates that the new Magic Keyboard will be available in the near future. Additionally, updates for the iPad Air are expected to focus on internal enhancements including a new M4 chip for compatibility with Apple Intelligence. The 10.9-inch iPad may see an A17 Pro chip integration along with a memory increase to 8GB. Both models may also incorporate Apple’s upcoming in-house 5G modem.

While it was previously indicated that the entry-level iPad would also receive the Magic Keyboard, it is now uncertain if this is still the case. Regardless, more details about these new products are expected to be unveiled by Apple in the coming months. If you’re considering purchasing any of these devices, it might be worth waiting a little longer for the updated versions.
