The recent Windows 11 24H2 update by Microsoft has been causing significant issues for PC users, particularly affecting webcams not being detected and Bluetooth audio devices failing to work even when connected. The problems appear to be linked to the KB5050009 (24H2) and KB5050021 (23H2) builds. The only known solutions at the moment involve uninstalling the update for Bluetooth problems and reinstalling Windows 11 for webcam issues. However, due to the complexities of various PC setups, the root causes of the issues can be hard to pinpoint, leading to frustrations among users. In addition to audio problems, users also face unresponsive taskbars and quick settings, impacting gaming experiences. Ubisoft had to update Assassin’s Creed games due to constant crashes on Windows 11 24H2. Some users are switching to alternative operating systems like Bazzite and Valve’s SteamOS for gaming until Microsoft addresses the issues.
