Former president of PlayStation Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, shared his thoughts on the recent reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2. During an interview on the MinnMax YouTube channel, Yoshida expressed his disappointment, mentioning that the announcement lacked major surprises. Despite the numerous leaks detailing the new console’s features, Yoshida found the reveal to be more of a confirmation rather than an exciting unveiling. One aspect that caught his attention was the inclusion of unique optical sensors in the rumored controllers, allowing them to function like a PC mouse. Although he wasn’t particularly thrilled by the initial trailer, Yoshida remains hopeful that Nintendo will deliver something unexpected and innovative with the Switch 2. With the upcoming Nintendo Direct scheduled for April 2, 2025, all eyes are on Nintendo to see if they have any surprises left up their sleeves.
