Samsung Messages, the native messaging app for Samsung Galaxy smartphones, faced reports of being discontinued but is still available through the Galaxy Store. Despite earlier interpretations of a discontinuation announcement, the app now supports Google’s RCS, allowing for enhanced media sharing and group chats. Samsung had initially switched to Google Messages as the default messaging app, leading to confusion about the future of Samsung Messages, but recent updates confirm its availability for newer Galaxy models like the S25 series. Samsung Messages can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store, providing users with an alternative to Google Messages. While there have been speculations about its fate, the app seems to remain a viable option for Samsung smartphone users.
