Acer has unveiled the Nitro Blaze 11 handheld gaming PC, equipped with AMD’s Ryzen 8840HS Processor featuring 8 cores and 16 threads, priced starting at $1,099. The device boasts a large 10.95-inch 1600p 120Hz screen, challenging competitors such as Asus’ ROG Ally and the Lenovo Legion Go. The Nitro Blaze 11 offers detachable controllers akin to the Legion Go and Nintendo Switch, promising enhanced gaming performance with AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution technology. It also comes with fast-charging capabilities, up to 2TB of Gen 4 NVMe storage, and a front video camera for calls and streaming, catering to both gaming and work needs. Launching alongside is the Nitro Blaze 8 with similar specs but a smaller 8.8-inch 144Hz screen, priced at $899. While the Nitro Blaze 11’s 11-inch screen is a standout feature, its $1,099 price tag raises questions about affordability compared to traditional gaming laptops or desktops. The device aims to lead the handheld gaming PC market in display quality and size, potentially setting a new standard but might face challenges with performance at the high resolution.
