Amazon has announced an increase in prices for its Music Unlimited plans, affecting both Prime and non-Prime members. For Prime members, the individual plan will now cost $10.99 per month, and $109 annually. Non-Prime members will see their individual plan priced at $11.99 per month. Family plans will also experience a rise to $19.99 per month and $199.99 annually.

The new pricing is effective immediately for new customers and will be implemented for existing subscribers between now and March 5, 2025. This change makes Amazon Music Unlimited without Prime now priced the same as Spotify at $11.99.

Despite offering various features like ad-free streaming and HD audio, the price hike makes choosing between Amazon Music Unlimited and competitors like Spotify or Apple Music a tougher decision. Amazon promises more content and features in the future to justify the price adjustments. Moreover, while Amazon Music Unlimited integrates smoothly with Amazon Echo devices, users can easily switch to other preferred platforms.

In the competitive music streaming landscape, other services like Apple Music and Spotify offer unique curation and features that cater to different user preferences and listening experiences. Apple Music boasts radio stations and artist-curated playlists, while Spotify continues to innovate with features like AI DJ and personalized playlists. The increasing prices of Amazon Music Unlimited may lead users to explore their options and potentially switch to other platforms for their music needs.
