Amazon’s New Feature Redirects Users to Other Sellers’ Websites
In a bid to enhance customer experience, Amazon is testing a new feature in its shopping app that redirects users to other brands’ websites when a particular product is out of stock. This move allows customers to easily purchase products from external sellers if Amazon doesn’t carry them in its store. Notably, brands with ‘Buy with Prime’ enabled will still offer benefits like 24/7 customer support and fast delivery. Amazon’s VP of search and conversational shopping, Rajiv Mehta, stated that the initiative aims to expand product selection and improve the overall shopping experience. The feature is currently being tested with a select group of US customers on the Amazon Shopping app for iOS and Android, with plans to expand based on user feedback. Amazon’s commitment to customer satisfaction continues to drive innovation in its services.
