AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs, specifically the RX 9070 series, have garnered attention as rumors swirl about their imminent release. Photos and listings of the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT were briefly spotted on the websites of Danish and Israeli retailers, Fuelling speculations about a potential launch on either January 23 or 24. The leak, initially uncovered by VideoCardz and supported by sources including Geizhals, hints at a rapid influx of information surrounding these anticipated graphics cards.

Notably, conflicting information emerged from Foniks, with the RX 9070 initially listed as ‘In Stock,’ only to later display ‘Ordered, expected…by January 23’ before being removed. This aligns with previous leaks from B&H Photo and XFX pointing towards January 23 or 24 as significant dates for the release. Despite a teaser reveal at CES 2025, AMD has been tight-lipped about the specifics and pricing of the RX 9070 models. However, the tech community anticipates an imminent dedicated launch event to shed more light on these highly-anticipated GPUs.

From a strategic standpoint, this delay in the launch event aims to distance AMD from the CES 2025 buzz and potentially upstage Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 5080 and 5090 unveiling slated for January 30. The retail appearances of the RX 9070 GPUs signify progress behind the scenes, emphasizing that there are no delays anticipated in the RDNA 4 rollout. Stay tuned for further updates on AMD’s next-gen graphics cards against the backdrop of intensifying competition in the GPU market.
