Atos, a leading French IT company, faced allegations of a data breach by ransomware group Space Bears in late December 2024. However, Atos denied these claims, stating that their infrastructure was not directly compromised, and no sensitive data was accessed. The cybercriminals did manage to access a third-party system containing documents mentioning Atos, but not managed by the company. Atos took the matter seriously and conducted a thorough investigation, reassuring that their internal systems remained secure.

The ransomware group Space Bears, relatively new to the scene since early 2024, has targeted other high-profile companies like Canadian software developer Haylem and companies in Canada and India. Atos emphasized its robust network of cybersecurity experts and security operations centers dedicated to safeguarding their operations and client data 24/7.

TechRadar Pro reached out for further details but did not receive an immediate response. This incident highlights the ongoing threat of cyberattacks and the importance of maintaining strong cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive information.
