The US Treasury has imposed sanctions on Integrity Technology Group, alleging its involvement in cyber attacks on US entities. The company, also known as Yongxin Zhicheng Technology Group, based in Beijing, China, specializes in cybersecurity products. The sanctions were triggered by the company’s infrastructure being used by Flax Typhoon actors for cyber intrusions.

Chinese government officials criticized the decision, labeling it a smear campaign by the US. Integrity Technology Group denied the accusations, stating that the sanctions were unjust. Flax Typhoon is notorious for its cyber espionage activities, targeting critical infrastructure and organizations in the US.

This development underscores the escalating tensions between the US and China over cybersecurity issues.
