Don’t worry about the Nintendo Switch 2 price, Nintendo says it will follow the ‘affordable prices customers expect’

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa sheds light on factors affecting pricing of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console. He mentions that rising inflation and changes in exchange rates are considered, but the company aims to maintain customer-friendly pricing. Furukawa hints that the cost of the Switch 2 will align with customer expectations, without revealing exact figures yet. Despite this, Nintendo has clarified that there won’t be a price drop for the original Switch upon the new console’s release. The Switch 2 is expected to launch in 2025, with details possibly being unveiled during an upcoming Nintendo Direct event.
