FBI claims North Korean workers are hacking the US companies which hired them

The agency cautioned that these employees can become threat actors who aid cybercriminal activities on behalf of the North Korean regime. The FBI also advised on ensuring thorough identity verification during the hiring process to prevent unwittingly hiring individuals involved in malicious activities.
