Garmin has recently introduced its ECG feature to customers in the EU and Australia, expanding its availability beyond the US and several Asian countries. This new upgrade allows users of compatible Garmin watches like Venu 3 and Fenix 8 to monitor their heart rhythm and potentially detect irregularities such as atrial fibrillation. The ECG app enables users to view results instantly through the Garmin Connect Smartphone app. Popularized by the Apple Watch Series 4 in 2018, ECG technology has since become a key feature in top smartwatches. While Garmin has not yet updated its list of supported models, current models compatible with the ECG feature include D2Enduro, Epix Pro (Gen 2), Quatix, and Venu 2 Plus. To utilize the ECG feature, users need both a compatible Garmin watch and the Garmin Connect app. Additionally, in recent news, Garmin unveiled its new rugged smartwatch – Garmin Instinct 3, boasting features like a long-lasting battery and a durable outer shell.
