French AI developer Mistral AI has introduced its AI chatbot, called Le Chat, to mobile devices, offering a European alternative to similar U.S. and Chinese-based tools. This marks Mistral’s first foray into a consumer-facing chatbot. A comparison test was conducted between Le Chat and ChatGPT, with prompts covering social life advice, riddles, explanations of complex topics, and image creation tasks. While both chatbots demonstrated competence in various tasks, they each exhibited distinct characteristics.
