Rumors claiming the RTX 5060 would have a 16GB variant have been debunked, with sources confirming only an 8GB version. A TikTok video alleging the 16GB option was proven fake, using altered last-gen GPU boxes. The new RTX 5060 models are anticipated to follow existing VRAM configurations, with the RTX 5060 Ti possibly offering 16GB and 8GB options, while the base RTX 5060 may have only an 8GB variant. Concerns arise over limited capacity for gaming beyond 1080p, despite improvements like GDDR7 memory speed and neural texture compression. Expectations lean towards Nvidia maintaining similar VRAM specifications as with the RTX 4060 series. A March 2025 launch for the GPUs seems probable.
