Nintendo Switch 2: New Renders Leak Online
An alleged 360-degree render of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 has surfaced online, revealing a comprehensive look at the anticipated console. The leaked render, provided by OnLeaks and reported by 91mobiles, showcases a black handheld device with matching Joy-Con controllers. The console is expected to feature an 8.4-inch display, surpassing the Nintendo Switch OLED’s 7-inch screen.
Notable details include the positioning of the power and volume buttons, game cartridge slot, and 3.5mm headphone jack on the top of the device. Additionally, a USB Type-C port is speculated to serve as the charging slot for handheld or table-top mode. The render highlights a ‘U’ shaped kickstand for table-top use, magnetic attachment for the Joy-Con controllers, and trigger mechanisms on the back.
While the Joy-Con controllers bear a resemblance to the original Switch, featuring familiar buttons, D-Pad, and analog stick layout, a new button below the ‘Home’ button raises questions about its functionality. Nintendo is yet to announce the official release date for the Switch 2, but speculations point towards a 2025 launch. The company has confirmed backward compatibility with the original Switch, further fueling excitement for the upcoming console.
