A recent report suggests that Britain is falling behind Germany in terms of “digital health.” The study by Zoho reveals that while there has been a nine percentage point increase in good digital health among UK businesses compared to the previous year, only 28% reported good digital health in 2024. The research indicates that smaller businesses are less prepared compared to larger ones, with 40% of large businesses having good digital health, in contrast to only 18% of small businesses.
The report also highlights the correlation between good digital health and attitudes towards artificial intelligence (AI), showing that businesses with good digital health are more likely to consider AI critical. Over half of the British businesses analyzed are planning to invest significantly in AI. Despite the progress in digital transformation, one in three UK businesses still operate digitally in only half of their operations.
Key areas of focus for digitization in the upcoming year include customer experience, efficiency, and enhanced employee experience. Sachin Agrawal, Zoho UK Managing Director, emphasizes that good digital health is crucial for maximizing ROI from digital investments. He suggests that vendors should maintain long-term relationships with customers to facilitate the deployment of tools and drive adoption effectively.
