Marvel Rivals Season 1 .5 will add Human Torch and The Thing later this month as NetEase walks back its plans for a mid-season rank reset

NetEase Games has officially announced the release date of Marvel Rivals Season 1.5, scheduled for February 21, 2025. In a recent Dev Talk blog post, the studio revealed that The Fantastic Four’s Human Torch and The Thing will be included in the mid-season update, alongside Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman. Major balance adjustments are also on the horizon, set to change the gameplay dynamics. Originally planning a competitive rank reset, NetEase reconsidered this decision due to community feedback, opting to maintain ranks and scores from the first half of Season 1. Players will earn new rewards by completing 10 Competitive mode matches and meeting specific requirements. Gold-ranked players will receive costume rewards, and higher ranks will be acknowledged with new Crests of Honor. NetEase emphasized the community’s importance in shaping Marvel Rivals and teased more updates on Season 1.5.
