Microsoft could give Windows 11 PCs a new option for the Copilot key –but don’t get too excited just yet

Microsoft is reportedly considering allowing users to customize the Copilot key on their keyboards to open a context menu instead of its current function. This potential change, as hinted at by a reliable Windows source, could offer users more flexibility and customization options. The key that may be redefined is currently used to bring up a context menu similar to right-clicking with a mouse. The option to remap the Copilot key is expected to be available in future Windows 11 test builds, although it is not confirmed yet. Microsoft previously introduced the ability to remap the Copilot key to launch an app but with certain limitations. This development signals a step towards providing users with more customization possibilities for their keyboards, showing Microsoft’s commitment to enhancing user experience.
