Microsoft has announced that as of October 14, 2025, Microsoft 365 applications will no longer be supported on Windows 10, urging users to upgrade to Windows 11 for optimal experience. While some apps will still be operational on popular browsers, such as Edge, Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, users are advised to transition to Windows 11 to continue receiving crucial updates. Despite the change, key productivity apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will remain accessible on Windows 10, though without future updates. This move follows a similar approach to ending support for Microsoft 365 on previous Windows operating systems. If users opt not to upgrade their OS, they can access full versions of the apps via supported browsers.
