Minecraft’s first update of 2025 will introduce six new gameplay features, and they’re now available in public testing

Mojang Studios has unveiled details about the upcoming first major update for Minecraft in 2025. The update includes six new features such as two new pig variants – cold and warm pigs. Additionally, three new ambient features will enhance forest biomes, including falling leaves, leaf litter, and wildflowers. Players can already test out the update through public testing before its official release. To access the new content, players can enable snapshots for Minecraft: Java Edition or enable previews for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. The update aims to provide a more immersive and engaging gameplay experience for Minecraft enthusiasts. In other gaming news, Nvidia GeForce Now is set to be available on select VR headsets, Marvel Rivals will undergo hero balance adjustments, and Sony has announced new Midnight Black versions of PS5 accessories launching next month.
