Nintendo Switch Sales Surpass 150 Million Mark

The Nintendo Switch family achieved another major milestone by surpassing 150 million units in lifetime hardware sales. According to Nintendo’s latest financial report, the combined sales of the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED reached 4.82 million units in the third quarter of FY25. This places the Nintendo Switch as the company’s second best-selling console, closely trailing the Nintendo DS with its 154 million lifetime sales. Despite being around 10 million units away from surpassing the PlayStation 2’s 160 million sales record, the upcoming launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year is expected to further boost sales. Notable software successes include Super Mario Party Jamboree selling 6.17 million units, followed by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at 5.38 million. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom also made a solid sales impact with 3.91 million units sold.

Stay tuned as Nintendo gears up for the release of the Nintendo Switch 2, with rumors suggesting larger game boxes and exciting game launches on the horizon.
