Disney is introducing Live Activities support for iPhone users at its parks, aiming to streamline food ordering at Disney World and Disneyland. The feature, integrated into the Disneyland and My Disney Experience apps, allows users to monitor and pick up their mobile orders directly from their iPhone lock screens. Live Activities are compatible with iPhones running iOS 16.1 or later and do not require a specific app update. This advancement aims to enhance the park experience by reducing phone usage and providing essential information at a glance. In addition to food ordering, the apps offer features like reservations, Lightning Lane access, ride wait times, and park maps. Disney’s embrace of Live Activities could signal further integration of this iOS feature in the future, enhancing visitor convenience and enjoyment.
