LG has announced its webOS update schedule for older TV models, introducing the LG Re:New program. Selected LG TVs from 2024 and earlier will enjoy five years of webOS upgrades. For instance, the LG C4 from 2024 will see annual updates to the next webOS version until late 2026. The webOS 25 update is expected to be pre-installed on LG’s 2025 OLED and QNED TVs, featuring AI enhancements like AI search and AI Concierge. The LG Re:New initiative allows users to access the latest smart TV features and security updates for five years from purchase. This move mirrors full OS upgrades seen on top-tier phones, promising substantial improvements with each annual webOS update.
