Paramount Plus’ hit Yellowstone prequel series 1883 is coming to Netflix, but not for everyone

Netflix is set to add Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel series 1883 to its lineup, offering viewers outside the US a chance to stream the highly-anticipated show starting mid-March. However, due to streaming rights, US audiences will miss out on this latest addition to the neo-Western drama franchise. Following the success of streaming Yellowstone in various regions, Netflix is looking to expand its offerings and compete with Paramount Plus for the title of the go-to platform for Western-themed content. 1883, set in the post-Civil War era, follows the Dutton family’s journey to establish the iconic Yellowstone Ranch in Montana. While the series’ availability on Netflix may grow over time, US viewers will have to turn to Paramount Plus to catch this prequel. In the meantime, Netflix continues to diversify its library with other Paramount Plus titles, such as Dexter and Your Honor, aiming to provide a wide range of content to its subscribers.
