New insights into the gameplay features of the highly anticipated game Phantom Blade Zero have recently surfaced. The upcoming soulslike action game developed by S-Game, exclusively for PS5, was unveiled last year. A recent six-minute gameplay trailer showcased an intense boss battle, providing fans with a glimpse of what to expect.
Although an official release date is yet to be announced, multiple Chinese outlets (via Push Square) have shared details about the game’s features at launch. Departing from the traditional soulslike formula, Phantom Blade Zero will offer four difficulty options – easy, normal, hard, and extremely hard. This diversification in difficulty settings sets it apart from other games in the genre such as Elden Ring or Lies of P.
The main storyline of the game is anticipated to last between 20 to 30 hours, with an additional 20 hours of side content, potentially including side quests and non-narrative bosses. Notably, each boss battle will consist of two phases, with a phase two checkpoint provided to players, allowing them to respawn at the start of the second phase upon defeat without losing progress from the first phase. Furthermore, a separate mode will permit players to replay boss fights, akin to Sekiro Shadows Die Twice’s Reflections of Strength, offering the opportunity to challenge various bosses to a rematch and potentially face additional hidden bosses.
The latest details shed light on the exciting gameplay features of Phantom Blade Zero, promising an engaging and challenging experience for players awaiting the game’s release.
