Salesforce has introduced the second generation of its AI agent platform, Agentforce 2.0, marking a significant advancement in technology that is set to revolutionize businesses globally. This new version, set to launch in February 2025 with some tools available earlier, offers enhanced customization options for enterprises seeking to harness the power of AI.

Agentforce 2.0 is part of Salesforce’s “digital labor platform” initiative, aimed at enhancing worker productivity and experiences. The update includes a new library of customizable pre-built skills and workflow integrations across Salesforce’s CRM, Slack, Tableau, MuleSoft, and more. Improvements in agentic reasoning and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) are expected to boost response time and accuracy of agents significantly.

Notable features of Agentforce 2.0 include new CRM skills to empower agents in sales lead nurturing and providing instant feedback during customer interactions. The platform now allows seamless deployment in Slack, with Slack Actions integrated into Agent Builder for efficient project status updates via direct messages. Users can swiftly create new agents using natural language descriptions and auto-generate relevant topics and instructions from the skills library within seconds.

Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, praised Agentforce 2.0 for elevating their digital labor platform to new heights with advanced reasoning, integration, and customization capabilities. He emphasized how this technology is reshaping the future of work by combining AI, data, apps, automation, and human intelligence. Salesforce’s commitment to providing a comprehensive AI solution for enterprises solidifies their position as a leader in digital labor solutions, empowering businesses to build a dynamic workforce capable of driving transformative impact.
