Samsung is set to introduce a new immersive audio format called Eclipsa Audio, which will be available on all 2025 Samsung TVs and soundbars. This format, developed in partnership with Google, aims to rival Dolby Atmos by offering royalty-free and open-source audio technology. While only compatible with Samsung devices for now, YouTube is the only streaming platform committed to supporting Eclipsa Audio. Despite the challenges of widespread adoption, Samsung remains optimistic about making this technology accessible to a broader audience.
