Samsung is set to revolutionize its device protection plan by offering free cracked and chipped screen repairs for its Care Plus with Theft and Loss customers starting January 15. This move eliminates the current $29 charge for screen repairs on high-tier plans, potentially positioning Samsung in direct competition with AppleCare+, which also charges a $29 deductible for screen repairs. This upgrade is exclusive to the Care Plus with Theft and Loss plan, while regular Care Plus customers will still need to pay for screen repairs. The rumored release of the Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup in January adds to the excitement, potentially providing peace of mind to customers considering investing in the brand. Samsung’s Cracked Screen Repair service is available to fix damages on both front and rear glass of Galaxy phones, excluding folding display models like the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold handsets. While this initiative may not sway dedicated iPhone users, it could help in retaining Galaxy users.
