Sigma has introduced two new prime lenses, the 16mm F1.4 and 23mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary, for Canon RF mirrorless cameras. These lenses cater to crop sensor models and are priced at $439 and $549 respectively. This brings the total Sigma RF-S lenses to six, though there are currently no full-frame options available. Canon’s recent collaboration with third-party lens makers has expanded lens choices for APS-C cameras like the EOS R7, filling a gap in the market. While Canon focuses on full-frame lenses, customers may soon look to Sigma for affordable full-frame options.
