The next Battlefield game will arrive by April 2026, here’s how you could play it early

EA has officially announced that the next installment in the popular Battlefield series is aiming for a release before April 2026. The game is being developed by Battlefield Studios, comprised of five EA developers. Players can now sign up for Battlefield Labs to potentially play the game early and provide feedback.
The upcoming Battlefield game is anticipated to launch between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, according to EA’s recent financial report. Interested gamers can participate in Battlefield Labs, a new initiative for player-driven testing and innovation. The select few who join will playtest the game and have a direct impact on its development process by offering feedback.
The development team, Battlefield Studios, includes Criterion Games, Dice, Ripple Effect, and Motive – developers with experience in Need for Speed, Battlefield, Battlefield Portal, and Dead Space respectively. An early gameplay teaser showcased a return to a modern-day setting with a gritty atmosphere, a departure from Battlefield 2042’s futuristic, hero-focused approach.
