Signify, the company behind Philips Hue smart lights, is set to launch a new generative AI assistant within the Hue app. This assistant will enable users to create personalized lighting scenes based on their mood, occasion, or style preferences. Unlike the current manual color selection process, the AI assistant will allow users to input ideas or provide voice commands using natural language for a more streamlined experience. Although the exact release date is unknown as Signify is not presenting at CES 2025, the new assistant is expected to debut later this year. The AI assistant follows a recent app update in October that introduced an augmented reality feature for visualizing Philips Hue lighting effects in users’ homes. With promises of a smarter and more intuitive home experience, the AI assistant aims to revolutionize the smart lighting industry.
