The PS5 just had its best financial quarter on record, shipping almost 10 million units at the end of last year

The recent financial quarter has been a huge success for the PS5, with record-breaking results. Sony revealed that they shipped an impressive 9.5 million units of the console during Q3 FY24, marking a significant increase from previous quarters. This brings the total number of PS5 units shipped this financial year to around 15.7 million, showing strong sales momentum. Additionally, monthly active users also saw a healthy increase, reaching 129 million in Q3 FY24.
Moreover, with the upcoming release of exclusive games like Ghost of Yōtei and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and updates such as the Astro Bot new levels and enhanced performance for the PS5 Pro, the future looks promising for PlayStation fans. Sony’s success in attracting both new users and retaining existing ones points to a bright outlook for the gaming community.
