The latest addition to the Samsung Galaxy lineup, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, has been unveiled with an interesting twist – the S Pen no longer has Bluetooth functionality. This means users are unable to utilize features such as Air actions for tasks like launching apps or controlling music. While some may perceive this as a downside, Samsung defends this move by stating that these features were not widely utilized by the majority of users.
The absence of Bluetooth in the S Pen brings some improvements, notably a lighter stylus and the elimination of the need for battery charging. Additionally, the removal of Bluetooth-related components results in a 15g reduction in the overall weight of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Nevertheless, the S Pen still remains a powerful tool for drawing, writing, and accessing various shortcuts on the device. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra boasts an array of new AI features, a larger screen, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and enhanced durability with Gorilla Armor 2.
