The ‘world’s smallest’ robot vacuum is now available in a combo version, but for me it defeats the whole point

SwitchBot has introduced the K10+ robot vacuum that has gained attention for its compact size. The new K10+ Pro Combo includes a stick vacuum that attaches to the same dock for easy storage. Although the combo offers convenient features like advanced filtration and a tangle-free roller, some concerns have been raised about space efficiency.

The dock’s unconventional design may not sit flush against a wall, potentially taking up extra space. Compared to a separate wall-mounted dock, the combination may not offer significant space savings. The self-emptying feature of the dust cup is a highlight, but the reduced capacity compared to the standard model is worth noting. Discount offers are currently available for the SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo in the US and UK.

Other brands, such as Yeedi and Shark, also offer similar combos with automatic emptying docks. While this trend appeals to robot vacuum users, the need for self-emptying manual vacuums is debated. Some prefer manual emptying to avoid the bulkiness of the dock. The future of this trend remains uncertain as brands continue to innovate in the vacuum industry.
