A new update in the Google Sounds app is on the horizon for Pixel owners. This update will bring more control over haptic feedback, mirroring some of the customization options currently available on iPhones. The upcoming version of the Google Sounds app will allow users to select vibration patterns similar to how they choose ringtones in the settings menu. While not as comprehensive as iOS options, users will have a choice of 12 vibration patterns like Swoop, Snare, and Heartbeat. This update will enable users to adjust the strength of vibrations based on personal preferences. The Google Sounds app is integrated into Pixel software and not available for separate download. The current version is 3.1, with the vibration customizations expected in version 3.2. The timing of the update rollout remains uncertain, possibly coinciding with the release of Android 16 in the upcoming months. Non-Pixel device users may have different customization options depending on the features added by their phone’s manufacturer. For Samsung Galaxy phones, users can utilize Samsung’s Sound Assistant app.
