GMKTec partners with HP to introduce powerful Ryzen AI Max+ 395 workstation mini PC
GMKTec, a rising star in the mini PC industry, recently unveiled plans (initially announced in Chinese) for a cutting-edge product fueled by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chipset. This innovative device, set to be the first of its kind globally, will come equipped with the high-performance Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip, with variants featuring other Ryzen AI Max APUs also in the pipeline. Scheduled for release post-Chinese New Year in Q2 2025, this launch forms a significant part of GMK’s overarching “ALL IN AI” strategy.
The AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor stands out with its impressive specs, including 16 Zen 5 cores, 32 threads, and a peak clock speed of 5.1 GHz. Boasting 40 RDNA 3.5 compute units, the processor delivers exceptional graphics capabilities through its Radeon 8060S iGPU. Benchmarks indicate that the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 excels in CPU tasks compared to the Intel Lunar Lake Core Ultra 9 288V and outperforms NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4090 in AI-related assessments. With a flexible TDP range of 45-120W, this processor strikes a balance between efficiency and power, making it a compelling choice for AI workloads, gaming, and mobile workstations. Utilizing LPDDR5x memory with up to 256GB/s bandwidth and integrating a 50TOPS “XDNA 2” NPU for enhanced AI capabilities tailored for Windows 11 AI+ PCs, the Max+ 395 sets a high bar in performance expectations.
Anticipated to surpass the current Evo X1 model’s capabilities, which features a Ryzen Strix Point HX 370 APU at a price point of $919, the new GMKTec mini PC is poised to make significant waves in the market. Stay tuned for the launch of this promising device that is bound to elevate the mini PC experience to new heights.
