Toshiba has introduced its latest external hard drives, the Canvio Flex and Canvio Gaming, targeting different user needs. The Canvio Flex is a versatile storage option, while the Canvio Gaming caters to gamers seeking additional storage capacity. These portable 2.5-inch hard drives support up to 4TB storage with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface. However, the absence of a 6TB model might disappoint some users, especially with competitors offering larger capacities. The standout feature of the Canvio Gaming is its “always-on” mode for faster resume times during gameplay. Pricing details are yet to be disclosed, but the products are set to launch in the first quarter of 2025. Toshiba aims to provide straightforward and convenient data storage solutions for specific user scenarios with these new offerings.
