Microsoft is working on new feature in Windows 11 involving ‘cards’ in Settings app to help users easily see their PC specs, similar to Windows 10. These cards highlight key components like storage, GPU, RAM, and processor, aiming to provide a clearer overview of the system’s power. Although still in testing and not fully functional, these cards offer information such as total storage space, video RAM on the graphics card, RAM type and quantity, and processor details. Additionally, a hardware FAQ section is expected to be introduced to Windows 11, offering practical insights on system performance beyond technical specifications. While reminiscent of the Windows Experience Index from past versions, these new tools promise a more user-friendly approach to assessing PC capabilities. This move may encourage users to consider upgrading to Windows 11, which Microsoft claims offers several improvements compared to its predecessor. The company could potentially enhance this feature with AI-powered recommendations in the future, indicating a step towards more personalized user guidance within the Windows 11 interface.
