A recent cyberattack on FreshClick has compromised customer payment information, raising concerns about data security. Zagg, the company affected by the breach, has informed customers about the incident, which occurred between October 26 and November 7. The attack targeted the third-party application FreshClick, used by Zagg’s ecommerce provider, BigCommerce, resulting in the exposure of sensitive information such as credit card details.

Zagg is offering affected customers a year of free credit monitoring through Experian and advises them to stay vigilant by monitoring financial accounts and considering fraud alerts or credit freezes. BigCommerce has taken immediate action by uninstalling the compromised app from their stores to prevent further data breaches. While consumers are encouraged to practice safe online habits, attacks on third-party services like this highlight the ongoing risks associated with online activities.

Zagg has set up a dedicated phone line for customers seeking more information and assistance. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of cybersecurity and the need for increased vigilance in protecting personal data.
