Zoom has enhanced its Team Chat feature by integrating AI Companion, offering free upgrades to paying customers. The AI tools aim to improve organization functions with features like drag-and-drop tab arrangement, sorting, and filtering. Notable upgrades include conversation summarization, action item identification, and improved search capabilities. The redesigned sidebar aims to promote collaboration and productivity with integration across Zoom Workplace’s AI-first products like Zoom Docs and Meetings. Additionally, developers can benefit from new features such as code block and in-line code support. These enhancements align with CEO Eric Yuan’s vision for Zoom 2.0 as a customizable digital platform, aiming to save employees time and boost productivity.
