Despite community appeals, Facebook has not reversed its decisions. Interestingly, Facebook heavily relies on Linux for its infrastructure, raising questions about the apparent censorship of Linux discussions on the platform. This incident adds to the ongoing challenges faced by DistroWatch in dealing with social media platforms. In response, DistroWatch has opened a Mastodon account in protest against centralized social media. Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has been approached for a comment on the issue with no immediate response received.
