Apple has recently released a new support document providing clarity on how to update AirPods firmware. While the process may still seem a bit mysterious, the steps are now clearly outlined. To update the software in your AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max, you need to ensure your device is in Bluetooth range, connected to Wi-Fi, and follow specific steps which include placing the earbuds in their charging case and waiting for around 30 minutes. It would be convenient if Apple added a notification system for when the update is completed in the future. Stay tuned for possible improvements in future iOS updates.
