Cisco unveiled its latest innovation, Cisco AI Defense, aimed at enhancing the security of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications for businesses. The tool is designed to address the risks associated with developing and deploying secure AI applications. Cisco emphasized the importance of a unified approach to AI security, as enterprises are expected to develop numerous AI applications. The capabilities of AI Defense include discovering AI, model validation, runtime security, and securing access to AI applications. The tool is described as “self-optimizing” and is set to be available for enterprises in March 2025. Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer, Jeetu Patel, stressed the significance of prioritizing safety in the rapidly evolving landscape of AI technology. Cisco AI Defense aims to provide comprehensive threat detection and protection without compromising on speed or efficiency.
